Hello,

I was born and raised in France (in the Southwest). I grew up in France, surrounded by the rich aromas of my grandmother’s kitchen. From her, I learned that baking isn’t just about ingredients—it’s about love, tradition, and sharing joy.

In July 2024, I quit my job as a key account manager. My husband, my two children and I packed our bags and moved from France to Avon, Connecticut. 

​

​New life, new country, new culture, fresh start—I decided to set myself a challenge: bring the authentic taste of French pastries to the Connecticut community. Inspired by my childhood memories, I decided to create my own business: Christelle's Gourmandises. Why did I choose this name? "Christelle" is my first name, and "gourmandises" is a French word that refers both to the pleasure of savoring something and to the treats themselves—such as pastries and sweets.

During our first few weeks in Avon, one of the things we missed most was the taste of a French baguette. Missing the smell of fresh bread from the oven and its crispy crust, I decided to bake bread for my family myself. After several trials and a good deal of patience, I created my own recipe!

​I bake and sell all my pastries and bread from my home. Registered and licensed under the CT Cottage Food regulations, every single item is baked with precision, and high-quality ingredients right in my home kitchen. No shortcuts, just pure French tradition.

Each pastry is a little piece of my heritage, baked with passion just for you. Every treat is lovingly handmade using traditional French recipes, bringing a little slice of France right here in Connecticut. Perfect for a cozy afternoon snack, a thoughtful gift, or just a moment of indulgence.
